I'm not sure whether I can help you or not. My grandmother was Maddie Comelah Musslewhite (Musselwhite?). I never really paid any attention to the "le" or "el". I'll have to check. I believe she had a brother who was named Albert. Her grandfather's name was Uriah, so it sounds like the families are related at least. My mother (Maddie's daughter) recently passed and I am in the process of getting the family information together.
In the event that it helps you in any way I can tell you that my grandmother was born in Dooly... later Crisp County, Georgia, which is where a large number of Musslewhites lived at one time. There is also a Musselwhite Road which crosses I-75, which you have probably noticed in the past. That road goes out to the family cemetary, which I am assuming was on family land when at one point.

I am not familiar with the names Richard or Ruth in connection with our side of the family so obviously our lines are not the same. I do hope that the information that I gave you might be of benefit in helping you though.

Very kind regards,
Linda
