I am descended from John Henry Myer, son of Chris Myer, who was son of Chris Myer. Records vary as to whether Chris was Christian or Christopher. I am pursuing the idea that John Henry was the son of Christian Myer, son of the Christian Myer of Saugerties, NY. Son Christian's children were listed in their grandfather's will; John Henry was born in Lancaster, PA in 1757 and was just younger than the youngest of those children. No birth or death date, that I can find so far, is available for the younger Christian. I'm pursuing the idea that he (with or without Mrs. Myer) left NY for PA about 1755.
