Joe Mysinger is Joseph A Mysinger. He married [2] to Mary Jane Martin. The name of his first wife isn't known at this time but she was the mother of the eldest four of Joe's chidren, which is the line I am researching. Joe is the son of Samuel Mysinger. I believe Samuel is the son of Lewis Mysinger, all of the Soddy area in Hamilton Co. I will check my notes nd respond with more accurate information in a day or so. One Samuel Mysinger, who was 32 in 1871, has a fascinating bundle of documents filed with the US Commisioner of Claims, for his losses during the Civil War. He had crops of corn and potatoes, fodder, and animals confiscated by both the Union and Confederate Armies as the war raged thru Tennessee where they lived [near Chicamauga] This 40-page bundle is online at ancestry.com. Terrific reading filled with recitations of what occurred to so many families who were "split" as to loyalties, North or South.
