Have received E-mails this winter regarding "Jacob or Jacob Francis Nabors" the question being, are they the same person or different people. I personally find them to be one & the same. The following Jacob's are the ones that seem to be in question.
#1-Jacob Nabors-b1774-d1825 Laurens Co. S.C. mar Elizabeth Power. This Jacob is the son of Francis Nabors b ca 1750 & Sally Wheat b ca 1760. Have seen Francis referred to as Jacob Francis. Jacob & Elizabeth had a large family but did not have a son named Jacob.
#2-Jacob Nabors-b ca 1780's-d____in Jefferson Co. Ala. mar Elizabeth "Betsy" Loveless. This Jacob is the son of Jacob Nabors d 1817 Greenville Co. S.C. & is sometime listed incorrectly as the son of Jacob & Elizabeth Power Nabors.
#3-Jacob Nabors-b ca 1750's-d 1817 Greenville Co. S.C. mar unk. Have dower release listing his 6 heirs, dau Judith b 1777 mar Henry Hill. This Jacob is the most referred to as Jacob Francis & there is the question of his wife, is it Judith or Sally Wheat or both? Because he has a dau Judith & in the back of Whitman Neal's Nabor Bk. on pg 37 Prince Edward Co. Va it mentions Jacob & wife Judith & the time period is correct, I am inclined to assume the possibility of this Judith being the wife of this Jacob. I have been unable to find anything that links a Sally Wheat with this Jacob to date & I am still looking.
"Thank You", to all that sent E-mail concerning Jacob Nabors. Hopefully togather we can continue to untangle this line & end the confusion. Appreciate any help, info. & corrections.
