I would like to share the following information & sources, I have found on Francis Neighbors-son of Benjamin & unk-b ca 1750 Va. mar Sally (Sarah) Wheat-their son Jacob b 1774-d 1825-mar Elizabeth Power,in hopes it will help to place Francis & his family,in their rightful place as well as the family of Jacob Nabors d 1817 Greenville Co. S.C. mar Judith. Speaking only for myself, it appears to me, the data on these two gentlemen & their families have been combined & confused with one another & the end results is a pseudonym, "Jacob Francis Nabors", which has taken on quite a past life. Where was this name found, what book, what documents, sources, person??

It is stated, Francis & Sally Wheat had 2 childern-Jacob & Rebecca b 1775. Jacob mar Elizabeth Power. Rebecca mar Asa Greer.

Judia & Ralph Terry---Asa Greer--"There is a marriage record for Asa Greer & Rebecca Neighbors in Franklin Co. Va. dated July (?) 1791, consent by Francis Neighbors & bond record signed 22 July 1791, by Asa Greer & Thos. Wilson. Asa Greer & Rebecca Neighbors, daughter of Francis Neighbors were married in Bedford Co. Va. July 25 1791, by Rev. John Ayers." (From OVER THE MOUNTAIN MEN-EARLY RECORDS OF SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA by Worrell)
Robert J. Boyce--Francis Neighbors was born abt 1750 in Loudon Co. Virginia & died 1826 in Jefferson Co. Ala. He married Sarah Wheat, she died 1824. Child of Francis & Sarah Wheat is Jacob Neighbors/Nabors b 1774--d 27 Sept. 1825, Laurens Co. S.C. He mar Elizabeth Powers etc.etc.
Whitman Neal's Nabors Bk.pg 30, back of book--Marriages of Bedford Co. Va.---Rebeckah Neighbors & Asa Greer-daughter of Francis Neighbors July 25 1791.
I ask you, how can Jacob Francis Nabors have the same Father-wife-childern & history as Francis Neighbors & died in 1817 in Greenville Co. S.C. (which is the death date of Jacob Nabors mar Judith) while Francis died in 1826 in Jefferson Co. Ala. Need help here researchers, something not right!!!! Please note the name Jacob Francis was not found in any of the above data, only the name Francis Neighbors.
