Benjamin Neighbours who lived in Loudon Co. Va. in 1750 when his son Francis was born must have been one of the childern of Abraham & Rebecca Neighbours as they were married & living there by 1725.

Francis married Sally Wheat, born 1760 & they were among the group who migrated to Laurens Co. S.C. Francis served in the Revolution & received a pension by the authority of the State of Virginia for Army service as a guard of British prisoners during the war.

Francis' son, Jacob, was born in Laurens Co. & died there 27 Sept. 1825. He is buried in the Nabers Burying Ground near Laurens S.C.

In 1797, Jacob married Elizabeth Power, the daughter of Alexander & Sallie Moore Power, born 1772 probably in Maryland or Pennsylvania & died in Jackson Co. Ga. in 1857 where she was living with her Childern.

Elizabeth Power had siblings, including Alexander Jr. who married Martha Mills, Nancy who married Alexander Mills, William, John & Sarah.

Jacob & Elizabeth Neighbours' childern changed the spelling of their name to Nabers. They were Samuel, John, Alexander, Rebecca M.,Zachariah Lee, Lucinda, Sarah "Sallie", James Basil, Elizabeth, Rachael Caroline, William Alexander.
