Howard Loveless Nabors, b. 1817 SC, was the son of Jacob Nabors and Elizabeth Loveless. Howard was the 3rd of 7 children. The 4th was Elihu James Nabors,b. 1820, married Matilda Bailey. He was killed at the battle orf Champion Hill, Miss. The 5th child was Elizabeth d. Nabors,b.abt 1823 who married Isaac Andrew Lucien Roy. Lucien and Elizabeth were my gg-grandparents. My great aunt Bessie remembered her Aunt Sal had a picture of Howard above her fireplce.
Howard and Elizabeth had 10 children:
(1) William C., b. 1838 Shelby Co., Ala. and married Sarah Howze.
(2) Caatherine, b. 1840 in Shelby Co.
(3) James L., b. 12 Mar 1841 in Shelby Co. and married Caroline Elizabeth Joiner.
(4) Aaron, b. 1845 in Shelby Co.
(5) Thomas C., b. 21 July 1851 in Miss. and married Isabelle Florence McClure.
(6) Martha A., b. 1855 in Miss.
(7) Richard S., b. 1856 iin Miss or Tenn, married Mary H.
(8) Elijah L., b. 1858 in Tenn., marrried Mollie S.
(9) John, b. 1848 Miss., married Marsetta Smith, then married Mary F. Howze 24 Mar 1888 in Sevier Co., Ark.
(10) Mary Elizabeth, b. 1844 and married John Wallis Ozley.
I will have to go back and see is I can find Aaron's CSA records.
