I have several original Fraktur birth certificates (Taufschein und Geburtstag) including two for Henrich Nees and wife Elizabeth (nee Franklin). The ink is faded in places and the writing is sometimes indecipherable, spelling is imaginative.
One is for their daughter, Maria, born 11 October 1817 in Radill (or Kadill) Taunschip (township), Bodh(?) county, Pennsylvania.
Maria was christened 12 April 1818 by Rev. Koffer. witnesses were Jacob Frand and Magdalena Wenhold.
Another is for their daughter, Korlina, born 22 Sept 1830 in the same township, same county. She was christened 24 July 1831, witnesses were eorge Nees and wife Katarina.
There is a third Taufschein, seriously faded for a Jacob (name obliterated) and wife Katarina (Guggenheim?) for daughter Elizabeth, born 1794 or 95, christened 14 March 1795, witnesses were Joseph (?) Dietz and (?) Hilligas.
This information is sketchy but it might help someone fill in some missing pieces. I will appreciate it if anyone can correct the name of the county or township
