Seeking info on Geraldine Lucille Miller, believe to have been born on Dec 1, 1912 in Kentucky or Tennessee. She was “adopted?” by “Buster” Potter of Paducah, McCracken Co., Kentucky. Geraldine or Lucille [believe she was known by each] married Roy “Arnold” Nace and was the mother of Richard Lamar Nace born Dec 8, 1928 in Paducah; died Dec 18, 1969 in Hill Co Montana. Arnold and Geraldine also had a child named Gerald Kenneth born Apr 7, 1930 in Paducah and died Jul 21, 1930 in Paducah.
I have no idea who Buster Potter was, I did find a John L Potter in the 1920 census of Paducah who had an 8 year old named Lucille J. Could this be Geraldine Lucille? His birth place was listed as Kentucky, as was hers.
The 1930 census lists Arnold and Geraldine in Paducah with Richard and infant Kenneth. Geraldine was listed as age 18 who was born in Kentucky, as were both her parents.
I am trying to identify Geraldine Lucille’s natural parents. I do not know if she had any siblings or not. Also, I would like to identify Buster Potter, perhaps they were related?
Geraldine Lucille is my daughter’s-in-law grandmother. She does not remember her grandmother. We do have Geraldine Miller’s death certificate which does not list her parents. We would appreciate any help given.
