When family names were assigned, many Sephardim took the names of the town in which they lived. When the conversions came, many received a converso name from the town in which they were converted. In either case, the Catholic Church and an other source has identified the name as Sephardic. If you will note the list of names, there appear to be variants of the same name on the list.
