Ill Several Years
The Rev. William G. Nau, 65, 500 Franklin Ave., died Tuesday in an Omaha hospital after an illness of several years.
He was born in New Ulm, Minn., and had been a resident of Council Bluffs two years. He was a retired Lutheran minister.
The Rev. Mr. Nau had held the following pastorates: Red Cloud, Neb., two years; Holstein, Neb., five years; York, Neb., 11 years; Tobias, Neb., 12 years, and Elk Creek, Neb., 10 years.
District Vice-president
He was visitor [sic] of the South Nebraska District of the Missouri Synod for six years and synodical district vice-president 12 years. He was a graduate of St. Paul's College, Concordia, Mo., and the Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.
Survivors are: Widow, Rose, of Council Bluffs; four daughters, Mrs. Irma Beason of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Edith Heake [sic] of Tobias, Mrs. Clarice Fisher of Santa Anna, Calif., and Mrs. Maxine Winterheimer of Terra Haute, Ind.; one son, Walter, of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Clemens of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Theresa Morton of Oakland, Calif., and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Meyer Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral services for the Rev. William G. Nau, 65, 500 Franklin Ave., a retired Lutheran minister, who died Tuesday, will be held a St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Philip Gerken of Omaha will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Meyer Funeral Home is in charge.
