My name is John Diego Caldera Navarrette/was Navarrete we were from Aldama Chihuahua Mexico, I started out trying to find the names of three of my aunts as it turned out I found 6 of them and my father, his father, my grand father, and my grand mother and all of my uncles, my mom and all of her famliy so I kept on looking I went all the way back to Cortez with a few areas of doubt I also went into Spain and France with our name only I found those that made it into the history books, I kept on looking at events going back and was able to go to 800,000 B.C. what was there nothing but events and the midevel times I found who invaded who if you keep looking you will see that we carry everybodys blood line the Romans the Germans the Saxtons or Saxsons the Gults the Franks, the Vikings, the Celts the Moors the Mongals and no telling who else I missed, I also found the town of Navarrete but place it back to about 900 A.D.,I have found reference to our name in 700 A.D with two variations of the meaning one says its a plain between two hills another says it was taken from the Basque word Nafarete, I might be misspelling this word but it means just the opposit it told it is a plato between two valleys, which is right I don't know I have gotten copies of all the documents written by the old Priest to the day of Cortez I have made one book of all the Explorers including Cristoval Colon ( Christopher Columbus ) A book of all the Indians in the areas we went threw mostly in Chihuahua and I put in English most of the family names I found from 1515-1538 this way, we are all from the original four, I have also found a paper that told of Alonso Navarrete going back to Spain coming back to Mexico his sons growing up and going to the Filipines, I know that some papers say that he was never married and with all the mess i have thats another part of the documents I have missed placed, if anyone one of you want I will Email you these translations for you to read you don't have to agree with me just remember there are 130 or so pages of nothing but reading, where did I get these documents, from reading rolls and rolls of film at the Mormons family history center, here in Bakersfield California it only took me eight years when I quit, I was going at least 8 hrs.a day then when i was almost finished cut it down to about 4hrs a day when I starte I could see now I use glasses every thing is in old Spanish or Latin and I don't read two good.
good luck your cousin
