"James Phillips died in Anson County NC in 1788 his wife was Mary and children included James, Joel, Solomon, Lamdin, Sarah, Rebecca, Priscella, Esther, Ann, and Elizabeth all born about 1745-1775."

The above quote is from a posting on the GenForum Phillips site.

Does anyone have information on the family above and particularly on what happened to the children of this James Phillips?

Is there a connection to James R. Phillips who was in Darlington District SC and later Newton Co. GA where he died in 1834. He named sons, Joel, James Solomon (as well as John, ELijah, Daniel and Trustin). One of his daughters was named Mary and another Abigail.

Does anyone know where this James Phillips of Anson Co. lived before Anson Co.?
