Hello,
I do not find the names you mentioned in the will book. However, there is a George Eckols whose will is dated September 01, 1797. He mentions a wife but gives no name. Also mentioned are son, James; daughter, Rebecca; son, David. He also mentions Flory MacMollin and Charles Crofert. The will is witnessed by Zedekiah Mixon, James Mixon and Marmaduke Hermton
In the book, "Pitt County Chronicles, Vol. II", there is an article titled "William Harris". This article states that William Harris from Henrico County and Charles City County, VA had a son Timothy (1675-1743) whose second wife was Ann Echols, daughter of John Echols. Their children were: William (1705-1783), John, Jacob, Timothy, George, Edward and Ann. Thee article states that Timothy and Ann moved to NC because she inherited land from her father in Beaufort County.
