Seeking background information on Joseph GREEN, James H. PRITCHETT, D.D. ALLEN, and Henry H. WILLIAMS. All four men were living in the North West District of Brunswick Co., in 1849.
Joseph GREEN was b. abt. 1814 in NC. He was living in the NW Dist. of Brunswick Co., NC, when the 1850 Census was taken. Persons living with him included Penelope B, age 36; Susan C, age 10; William B., age 8; Mary C., age 2; James M. Simpson, age 55, carpenter; Clia Newell, age 57; Wm. Taylor, age 31, overseer; and Alexander Truman, age 17, laborer.
James H. PRITCHETT was b. abt 1818. In the 1850 NC Census for the NW Dist., he was living about 10 houses away from Joseph GREEN. Living with him was Charlotte PRITCHETT, age 52, Olivia PRITCHETT, age 19; and Stephen Dowly age 28, overseer.
Joseph GREEN, James H. PRITCHETT, and D. D. ALLEN were involved in the legalities of guardianship for the minor children of Henry H. WILLIAMS in 1849 in Brunswick Co., NC.
Joseph Green was to have tutorship of the minor children. None of the children were found living with any of these families in the 1850 or 1860 Census records.
