On the USGenWeb page for Burke County, James Greenlee is prominently mentioned as a member of the Rutherford land trust company. Can anyone advise any information about this organization and what James' role/origination was? There are a number of land grant transactions in which he was involved, per the land grant section of the above page, ending in 1800 and picking up again in 1840, so that may have been a child or an unrelated James. Any information is appreciated.
