My ancestor, Frederick Grider (before 1755-ca. 1819), lived in Burke County during the 18th century. He is the son of Martin Grider. Frederick was twice married. His first wife is my ancestor; she died about 1799, probably in proximity of Burke County. Frederick's second wife, Elizabeth (ca. 1773-ca. 1834), was born in North Carolina and died in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
Frederick Grider (ca. 1781-1853), son of Frederick Grider, is my ancestor. The younger Frederick was born in proximity of Gunpowder Creek in Burke County. The younger Frederick died in Russell County, Kedntucky. The younger Frederick was twice married. His firs wife is a daughter of William Perryman and Ann Stokes Perryman. Frederick and his first wife probably married in proximity of Burke County. After his first wife's death, before 1807, the younger Frederick married another daughter of William Perryman and Ann Stokes Perryman, Sarah Perryman (ca. 1787-ca. 1884). Frederick and Sarah married in 1806, Adair County, Kentucky. Sarah was born in North Carolina and died in Russell County, Kentucky.
Because so many of the early Burke County records are not available, it is my ardent desire that descendants of Martin Grider will communicate with me regarding our heritage. I am especially interested in learning more information about the ancestors, family, and descendants of my ancestor, Frederick Grider (before 1755-ca. 1819). I really would like to learn the name of his first wife, my ancestor, whose family probalby lived in proximity of Burke County during the 18th century!
