For any descendants of Joseph Kaylor, another Kaylor descendant recently sent me some information about his wife. According to the death certificate of two of his children, Elizabeth and Joseph W., their mother's name was Nancy Crago and their father was Joseph Kaylor. I'm also told that Nancy Crago Kaylor’s mother, Margaret Lewis Crago was living with granddaughter Harriett (Kaylor) Pyatt (daughter of Nancy and Joseph) in 1870 census, Mcdowell co., NC. Nancy is next door, with her family. Other sources have listed her name as Nancy Deal, but this new evidence would seem to leave little doubt. I've also learned that photos of Joseph and Nancy Kaylor's tombstones can be found at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=14972784 They are buried at Bethel Baptist cemetery in Mcdowell County.
