I am looking for the parents of Pleasant (Pless) Robert Motley, b. abt. 1853 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

He is related (?) to Robert Motley, b.abt. 1785 d.1854 m. Elizabeth Reed, daughter of John Reed of Reed's Gold Mine.

Also, I have difficulty finding informaion on Ramson Wiley Motley, b. 1828 m.1842 Betsy Bailey and Elisa Cauble 2 years later. Both marriages are recorded in Concord, Cabarrus County, N. C.

I am related to Thomas Motley b.1828 d. 1856 son of Robert Motley and Elizabeth Reed. My Thomas Motley married Margaret Hurlocker b.1833. They had a son Thomas Motley, b.1852, and a daughter, Linda Emaline Motley b. 1862.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can give regarding the ancestors of Pless Robert Motley and/or Ransom Wiley Motley. I will be happy to share with you what I have.
