I just launched a website yesterday(http://www.weddingtongenealogy.com/)dedicated to the genealogical research and documentation on my family history, which has been traced back to the start in Cabarrus County, NC and Meckelenburg. I'm the 6th GGrandson of William and Elizabeth (Waddington) Weddington. I found a post some years ago from a Jim (James) E. Weddington who seemed to have a lot of information on the Weddington's in this area, but also mentioned that the home of William and Elizabeth is still standing and ironic enough, was purchased by a William Waddington. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
