Hi Ben, I have platted most of the lands in Cabarrus south of Rocky River and up to a bit north of Miami church road. At the same time, I'm working Stanly County from the south end north and also Union/Anson moving south to Richardson Creek. After tracing my family back to dead ends, I thought it might be fun to learn the neighborhood. What started as an initial thought to write a book turned out to make for a better web venture. My life is really busy this year, but I hope to continue slowly working the land records. I have digitized all the land plats from surveys and hope to add them to my site in the future. And yes, ANY help with this project would be greatly appreciated. At some point I would love to turn the records over to be managed through organization. By the way, this weekend I toured a Howell descendant through the area around Rocky River. While at Haines Meeting House cemetery, the lady's husband discovered a stone! The Kiser family records the birth of Levi Kiser as 1783. The tombstone for "Levi Keiser" clearly records his death as being Feb 11 1789. There is so much to be learned through the platting and recording of land. I welcome any offer of assistance. Notify Administrator about this message?
