I don't yet have anything on Nicholas Cook. My ancestor Christopher Pless purchased land on upper Buffalo Creek from a Jacob Cook in 1764. Christopher lived on the land and was one of the men who built the original Zion Lutheran Church. The church was rebuilt a few years later on land nearby. Anyhow, how was Jacob in 1764 related to Nicholas Cook? Did Jacob remain in the area or did he remove? If they remained in the area, it is possible they are buried at Zion or Organ Lutheran. There is a hallowed section of the graveyard that does not have any stones. It is said this may be the early cemtery...

I have not yet platted that far north.
