We now have the Joel Helton line and the Jeremiah Helton line linked together by DNA. They are Native Americans. Others that match them from NC are.

Silas Helton Carter Co. TN
John Helton Carter Co. TN
Daniel Smith Hilton Roane Co. TN
Jeremiah Hilton Caldwell Co. NC
Joel Helton Caldwell Co. NC
Abraham Helton died in GA

All of these men were born in NC. Many moved on to Tn and GA. Older Heltons in this line are

Beecham
Lucinda Helton Mabe
Bethena Helton Shoat.
