I am trying to link James Stanton who moved from Core Sound Monthly Meeting to Contentnea in 1825. He is listed in Hinshaw as being born in Carteret County in 1802, but his parents are not given. He is most likely from the descendents of Henry Stanton that had extensive holdings just north of Beaufort. Most of the Stantons moved to Ohio in 1799-1800, but a few stayed behind. Any help in this search will be greatly appreciated.
