Need lookup in Babbitt Family History by William Bradford Browne. Just learned my gggrandfather, Samuel Babbitt, born ca 1830-31, was born in Craven County, NC. Does anyone have any Babbitt's from NC? I know nothing about his parents except that on the 1880 Census for NC, he stated both his parents were born in North Carolina. He was married to Ann Styron and lived and died in Carteret County, NC, ca 1880.
