I am hoping that someone can help me by providing me with some information about the Caswell County Home and/or cemetery. I am looking for information on Mary Bowes (1830-1923) - 1st married Thomas Solomon and 2nd marriage to Jefferson Patterson. Her death certificate from Caswell County states that the place of burial was "County Home." Some information that I have received that has been down states that she is buried at County Home Cemetery on Fire Tower Road in Caswell County. I am not familiar with the area but had the opportunity to travel there over the holidays and was unable to locate a cemetery on Fire Tower Road and assumed that because of construction that the "County Home" had been destroyed. I then read an article on the Caswell Historical Website that stated there were two County Homes one built in 1826 and another in 1926. Mary died in 1923 - she was 93 years old and I am looking for here tombstone or place of burial. Thank you!
