Ronnie, don't know if this will help or not but I have a copy of a 1896 Cherokee application #4527 that list a John Williams decendents some saying in 1835 he lived at the mouth of Valley River, Cherokee county, NC and some saying he lived Will Arnold Creek, Murray counnty, GA. I do not know if these two John Williams are the same of related or what. My ggg-grandmother is one of the ones that filled under this number. The names on this application package are:
