John Wesley wish, bJune 24, 1840in Lancaster, Fairfield, Ohio,:m:Aug. 07, 1866 in Salem, Marion Co.,Il to Elizabeth Ashton. He died March 13, 1875. Elizabeth Ashton was born Aug, 1871 in Centralia, Marion Co., Il not sure when she died. John and Ekizabeth were my Gr.Gr. grandparents. Trying to find out if there is a connection to the NorthCarolina Cherokee. My Grandmother Clara H. Peifer was 1/4 Cherokee and she was born in Centralia, Il. any help would be appreciated. She was married to Charles Strohecker and lived around the Freeport, Pearl City, Ill. area. Thanks, Margaruite (Strohecker)Snyder
