Abraham Hilton would have been born in VA around 1750-1760. His DNA is Native American. On the Cherokee applications from his descendants it states that he lived in Hanging Dog Creek NC. One of the applications calls him Jack Owl. They also say that he moved to Town Creek a Cherokee settlement in GA. One of his daughters has OWL on her headstone. They say that he came to GA around 1830. Abraham and Katie are buried in Lumpkin CO. GA.
By information of the applications it states that his wife would have been Katy Owl. They also mention that Katie's brothers were Jack Owl, John Owl and Dave Owl all living on Hanging Dog Creek in 1835.
any information greatly appreciated. Our family evidently knew the Bigby and McDonald families very well. They mention living on Grape Creek.
