Seeking information on slaves owned and sold by the above family: Horniblow, Horniblew, Hornablue, Hornablew, Horneblow from Edenton, Chowan County, North Carolina.

Family: John or James and Elizabeth Horniblow:
Children: Mary Horniblow married James Norcom (1810)
Nancy Horniblow married Charles Worth Blount, II
Johseph W. Horniblow married Eliza A. Brower (1818)
Elizabeth Horniblow married Frederick H. Hoskins (1820)

Earliest Records in Deed book for Chowan County, North Carolina: 1768-1770, John Horniblow as grantee on numerous deeds.

Slaves:

One slave who purchased freedom was Molly Horniblow--she had numerous sons: Mark, Benjamin, Joseph, and possibly "Thomas" who married Rachel. Molly had at least three daughters, Becky, Betty, and Delilah who married Daniel Jacobs.

Delilah and Daniel Jacobs had two children: John S. Horniblow and Harriet Jacobs.

Free woman Molly Horniblow sold property in 1832 to John Cox (Chowan County, NC)

Free woman Molly Horniblow purchased property in 1830 from Alfred M. Gatling.
