JOHN SIMPSON was born @ 1700 in NC. and Died @ 1764.He married JANE WATTS @ 1721 - their son WILLIAM was born @ 1722 and died @ 1799 in CHOWAN,NC.
I do not know in what County John & Jane lived - only that their son WILLIAM died in Chowan.
Son WILLIAM married @ 1746 to ANN DUDLEY who was born @ 1727 in ONSLOW, the daughter of EDWARD DUDLEY & HANNAH (?)
STARKEY-(Possible father JOHN STARKEY) Edwards parents were CHRISTOPHER DUDLEY & ANN CHURCH of Nansemond County,Va.
WILLIAM SIMPSON & ANN DUDLEY's daughter MARY ANN SIMPSON was born @ 1755 in Smithville, NC. & died 1840, Smithville. She married in 1774 to BENJAMIN WILLIAMS who was born 1754 in LUNENBURG, NC. & he died 1817 Smithville.
BENJAMIN WILLIAMS was the son of JOSEPH & SARA WILLIAMS - Joseph born & 1699, maybe YORK COUNTY, VA. (s/o) JOHN & MARY WILLIAMS. Sara's maiden name not known
BENJAMIN WILLIAMS & MARY ANN SIMPSON had a daughter MARY WILLIAMS born @ 1776 in Smithville, NC. Mary died in 1834 in CHARLESTON,SC. She was married to JOHN ANDERSON who was born @ 1769 and he died @ 1847.
I am researching these people and would like to connect & compare notes with others that may be connected to these families.
