Hi Victor,
The slave schedule is like the 1850 one that I posted. It shows the owner's name, then the age, sex & race of the slave, but no name. Unfortunately, in the 1860 schedule, Columbus county makes no indication as to where the info was obtained. For City, Township, etc., it simply says "Not Stated". No, sorry, I do not know of another source. That's not to say there isn't one, just that I do not know. Also, yes, statewide birth & death registration began in 1913 for this state.
