Hi,
I am a Strickland descendant. My gg grandfather, Abel Strickland, born about 1820 was born in South Carolina but I am pretty sure his family came from North Carolina. I am trying to connect him to his parents and grandparents.

I am also researching the family of Patrick Strickland who was born in NC but was living in Georgia in 1880. His father was John Strickland according to the 1850 census.
I believe that one of Patrick Strickland's sons or siblings married Maybelle (May B, Mabel, Belle) Wise from SC.

Maybelle later married my great grandfather, Thomas H Strickland in SC.

If anyone has information on any of these people I would very much appreciate any information you can give me. In fact if any of you have information on Stricklands that moved to SC.
