Looking for info on Evans family living in Freeman area of Columbus co., NC in late 1800's. Father was James J. Evans; mother was Alice Bennett: Children: Monroe Rufus, b. abt. 1884, m. Callie Alford, moved to Wilmington; George, b. abt 1888, m. Janie Byrd; Hettie Virginia, b. 1894, m. William Luther Clemmons of Hallsboro, moved to Wilmington; Roweena, m. Henry Bunym Farrell.
