(my guess..poss a 2nd wife) Manda E age 10 b. Benjamin F age 3 b. In 1850 Craven Co, your James, Lucy, Mary and Martha are listed as is William, however, in ancestry.com he is transcribed as "William S Wymre", along with wife Elizabeth and son William shown as 5/12 mos old. Sometimes, ancestry.com slaughters the surname so badly that you have to search by first name! 1840 Craven Co, NC Census shows two WINN households Elizabeth Winn 0011-0002001 1 male 10-under 15 b. 1826-1830 James 1826-27? 1 male 15-under 20 b. 1821-1825 William 1823-24? 2 females 15-under 20 b. 1821-1825 1 female 40-under 50 b. 1791-1800 Willoughby Winn may be an estate as no family members are shown..not even for Willoughby 1830 Craven Co, NC Census shows Stephen Winn 1100001-0110001 1 male under 5 b. 1826-30 James 1826-27 1 male 5-under 10 b. 1821-25 William 1823-34 1 male 40-under 50 b. 1781-1790 1 female 5-under 10 b. 1821-25 1 female 10-under 15 b. 1816-1820 1 female 40-under 50 b. 1781-90 This is the exact family as Elizabeth's in 1840 even though one daughter and the wife's birth range aren't perfect matches North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868 3/1/1793 William Winn to Betsey Foscue 11/1/1797 Sally Wynn to Meshach Alway 5/14/1814 Crecy Ann Winn to Joseph Brittain 6/10/1817 Stephen W Winn to Elizabeth Jones 2/2/1803 Eliza Wynn to Andrew Southmayd Rhodes 5/19/1804 William Wynn to Levisa Cox 4/11/1843 Tryphena Wynne to Benjamin F Borden 6/2/1845 William S Wynne to Elizabeth Hyman 12/10/1844 James Wynne to Lucy Thorpe My guess would be that William/Betsey could be parents of Stephen Winn. Stephen/Elizabeth Jones Winn are parents of James & William and, as you can see, their marriage records are also here, so you know who Caleb & William Y's mother was, now. Most likely, Tryphena is one of their sisters. I descend from Thomas Wynne line of Henrico Co and Lunenburg Co, VA and given that many of the Wynne's went "south" I would try to connect to them, if I were you. I did not find any Wynn, Wynne nor Winn's on the 1810 or 1820 Craven Co census. Hope this helps, Faye Notify Administrator about this message?
