John Rogers and 1781 Militia

I am looking for any information about John Rogers who served as a horseman in the militia during 1781 under Captain Kilgore.

I am not sure if this is the same John Rogers that is mentioned in the SC archives as follows:
02/18/1771 Rogers, John, Plat for 200 acres in Craven County.

Mentioned with John Phillips, George Lott, Robers Ellison and John Bremar. The location is Craven County/Jackson Creek. My cousin and myself have been searching for years for this John and any bit of information about any of these names might provide some clues to us. Thank you very much.
