John and Sidney (Witherington) Davis were married in Craven Co., NC. abt. 1830 bonded by Horatio Witherington. In 1850 they are living in Grayson Co., Va. I need parents for both John and Sidney. Also did they have any children of their own.
Were Edney (Davis) Galyean, wife of Toliver Galyean (Gallion etc.) related? Durin Davis? Amanda (Davis) Cooms children of John and Sidney?
In 1860 John and Sidney have with them Elizabeth (Bettie) and Edney Davis daughters of Amanda (Davis) Coomes. Also Joseph Smith. 1870 no Sidney but a JOhn Davis is living with Amanda and spouse James T. Coomes. I presume he is Sidney's spouse and Sidney has died. We have not found the cemetery or death dates for either. This is all we know. Any help?
