I am searching for information regarding William Cox who was born in early 1800s and died before 1850. William married Charity Gibbs, daughter of Captain Joseph Gibbs & wife, Elizabeth Tolston (Tolson). William is believed to have died in Pitt County in the Johnsons Mill Community about one mile from St. Johns Episcopal Church although no grave has been located at this time. It is thought that he may have been buried on his family farm next to Charity even though his headstone has not been located.
