I ran across something interesting Vol. 4,5 of The Lower Norfolk County Antiquary. Under Abstracts from Norfolk County marriage bonds, Joshua White was listed on April 15, 1760, marrying Lydia White. A footnote says
Lydia is the daughter of Patrick White, so they must be some kind of cousins. I have gathered some info on the other Patricks who descended from the first Patrick White, but I'm not sure I've got them sorted out.

Solomon White is also mentioned a couple of times in the writings of William Byrd. He describes him c. 1738 as a "grandee" owning most of Knott's Island. In another place he calls him "Capt. White" and says he was very hospitable.
