Apparently I didn't see this until now. A couple of things jump out at me - my Whites were in Edgecombe Co., S.C., too, then moved to Alabama and Arkansas. A bunch went on to Texas. So yes, the migration pattern is pretty similar. Also, I've noted the name Luke; I saw somewhere that one of the Georgia Lukes had a son Patrick, and it seems like the name "Patrick" is like a genetic marker, because surprisingly it wasn't all that common - except in the White family! Also, I think my Patrick doubled back to Georgia for awhile before dying in Alabama.
