I am also at a roadblock on my Forbes family.
Margaret Forbes b May 1820 Currituck Co.,
married Ivey Smith b 1815 Currituck Co.

Their children:
John Smith b 1843
Samuel Smith b 1845
Caroline V. Smith b 1845
married Luke Barco,Jr
Joshua Smith b 1849
Cornelius Frederick Smith b 1856
married Lovie Adelia Cowell
Ann E. "Lizzie" Smith b 1862
married Soloman Lewark


I believe that Ivey's father was John Smith of Currituck.
Have no real proof --just that Ivey and Margaret lived near John Smith and their first born son was named John.

Hope we can help each other in the research on the Forbes of Camden & Currituck Co.
