Hi Roger, I know what you mean in proving something. I have 4 Florida Pioneer Certificates-- you have to prove not only the family line but that they lived in Florida before 3 March 1845. Then you have to have copies of 1 primary source or 2 second sources. Each document numbered and an inventory of documents, family groups sheets and a biographical synopsis of the pioneer.I had 50 documents. It took me 5 years to get all the documents & put the inventory together. Then when I send it in-- I could not find a marriage record for one couple --so I had a copy of their son's Bible--which was a family Bible that the publication date was not before the event--so I had to have 3 more sources-- a copy of the birth and death of the couple in another family Bible that the pulication date was before the event that showed her maiden name & married name, an Obit, and a photo of their gravestones. Thanks for you all your help. I really appreciate it. Hilma Notify Administrator about this message?
