Hi Pat,

Clyde Bell died in Washington D.C. He was born in Currituck County. I just recently found out that piece of information from his civil service personnel records. Sadly, the records did not include his parents names. He was born in 1881 so the 1880 census is of no help. The next census I find him in, he was already living in D.C. and married to my great grandmother. There are no other relatives living that would be able to help with any information. I was just wondering if NC had birth records dating back to 1881. Would you happen to know? Thanks, Debbie
