I am related to the Davidson County Albertsons. I. too, have had difficulty searching this branch of my tree. I will begin with my grandmother: Clara May Albertson McAdden;her dad: Joseph Elias Albertson born oct 17, 1857, died nov 17, 1927. Buried at Springfield Friends Meeting
in Guilford County and married Mary Abigail Engilsh his; his dad: Jasper (dec 28, 1829)married Priscilla Bundy;
his dad Elias, born about 1804, died after 1866, married Nancy Neugent November 07, 1825. Their children: Rebecca (abt/ 1829), Jasper, Alfred R. (abt. 1833), Wilson (abt 1834), Allen R. (abt. 1837), Lucindy (abt. 1839), Franklin (abt. 1840), and Abigail Newget (born about 1842). (Don't know where or how she comes in).
The story passed down about the Albertsons is that after the Civil War, the family moved to Iowa. This is according to Joseph Albertson's son, Carl, who told me. Jasper remained in Davidson County.
I, also, saw the John Albertson who married Rebecca Nugent of Davidson County.
