Thanks for the info about Davidson co TN. If my ancestor George Ray or Wray was living in Albemarle co Va and left Va about 1780 and went to North Carolina as I ahave read he did He could have gone to what was then NC but is now Tn if I understand it right. There was a Thomas Wray that died in 1829 in Wilson co TN. HE left Virginia also but I have not read where he went to NC. Maybe Thomas Wray left Virginia and went to Davidson co Tn and then Wilson co Tn was formed from Davidson co TN. I guess what I am asking is do you think what is now Wilson co Tn ever part of NC. If so maybe George went with Thomas to what is now Wilson co Tn but was then NC. Just an idea. Thanks, Ross
