Hi, My name is Mary Milliken. I am trying to aid my sister in finding the man who cared enough to put his name on her birth certificate. My sister is Teresa Lynn Ward. The name on her birth certificate is Thomas Ward of Thomasville, N.C. Here is the story as it was told to me.... Our mother was Beulah Amburgey from Isom Ky. She was around 20 or 21 years old and she worked in a small diner there. She met Thomas Ward, and they dated. I'm not sure the order of the next events, but he lived in Michigan maybe. Mother went with him to his parents house, then he got shipped to Korea and was wounded there. While in Korea mom got pregnant and he told her to put his name on the birth certificate, and he would take care of it. He was suppose to return to get her, but after being wounded he went to N.C. That's about all i know. Teresa would like to find Thomas Ward and thank him for caring enough to give her a last name. If you can help, or know someone who can please contact me.
