Mr. Barfield, your ancestors and mine were close friends and neighbors in the 1700s. I follow them from Onslow county to Duplin county, where they were in the Revolution as members of the Wilmington district, NC.

They lived along the New River, where Camp Lejeune is now. You can find alot about them in the above mentioned county websites. After the revolution, my ancestors moved on West, but I think yours stayed in North Carolina. Good luck in your search. The Duralls and Barfields were very interesting people as you will find out.
