I am seeking any info that would help connect me to my COOPER /WILLIAMS ancestors believed to be in Duplin Co circa 1800. I have very sketchy unproven info that John Cooper married Mary Williams in Duplin Co 22 Feb 1801. John may have been born in Duplin Co but some info says VA, abt 1780. Mary same as John. John's father believed to have been George O. Cooper, died Duplin Co abt 1787. Mary's parents bleieved Robert Williams, Jr. and Mary Harper. John & Mary believed died in Lowndes Co MS, dates unknown. John and Mary had one known son, James C. Cooper, bn 11 Aug 1811, possibly VA or Duplin Co. Any info that will prove or refute this or connecting to their families greatly appreciated.
