Fountain family in Duplin Co, prior to 1830

I'm trying to identify the parents of William R. Fountain who was born in Duplin County about 1813 or so. He migrated to Jefferson County, Georgia and was there by 1839 when there is a record of his marriage.

Based on some census records, there were several Fountain families in Duplin around around 1800. The most likely candidates I have been able to identify as William R's father are John Fountain, Jr or Joab Fountain, but this is just a guess.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
