I have just posted some new Updated info to the MOODY page regarding this couple and while I still can't find any further details about this James MOODY prior to the 1790 census and an online genealogy with few sources cited, I am still interested in learning more about this couple and their family and where they came from.
I have seen an entry that says this James was a son of a Kirby MOODY but I have just posted info about that too and I now believe that is an error which I have shown in my most recent postings. There was a Moody KIRBY son of a Richard and Judith (Moody??) KIRBY in Southampton, VA c1755 and c1761 and this Kirby MOODY may have been confused or mixed up as being the father of this James MOODY who married Sarah and lived in Duplin Co., NC.
Since I am not familiar with this line however, I am not sure. That is why I am hoping someone with better knowledge will help me sort this out.
